Product Features
Padded heel and toe - socks get holes!
Our socks are designed to be visual practice aids. In class while learning or correcting a move at the barre. The sock can be placed overtop of a dance shoe to ensure no time is wasted during the lesson. The socks are not designed to be danced in for an entire class (or though you could if you were careful, it would mean you will get holes a little more quickly!) We have ensured the sock has extra padding in the toe and heel areas to give you as much life as possible.
Arch support
Light arch support is featured in every sock. To help the sock stay in place, providing mild arch support and reminding the dancer to engage her own arches while dancing.
Cotton Carry bag
Each pair of socks comes with its very own drawstring carry bag. With a place for your dancers name. Ensuring socks are not mixed up in class.
Plastic free!
Our product and packaging is proudly plastic free.
The drawstring bag doubles as our packaging.
Our postage bags are de-compostable.

Design Features
Fairy
Our fairy (Or Panda if purchasing the Mint Sockology) is carefully placed to be over the second and third toe.
In fondu or plie the knee should aim to be overtop of our fairy or panda.
Often children roll the placement of the knee inwards creating ugly lines and setting up for serious injuries.
The sock helps to insure correct placement to avoid injury and maintain beautifully correct technique.
A correct fondu and plie is a very important base for landing and take off for all elevation steps.
Stars
The stars shooting from our fairy or Panda should be placed in a straight line when the dancer is wearing the sock. Part of the learning process is having the dancer place the features of the sock onto the correct part of their foot.
To ensure the stars are in a lovely straight line the dancer must learn to move her own foot to be in correct alignment avoiding (sickle = ankle out of alignment with the leg which can cause injury). Whether it is during a pirouette or pointing the foot in any position. She/he can then visualise where the foot should be placed once the sock has been removed.
Further features work to correct and help the learning process with many foundations of dance.
Rolling ankles
Pointing the foot correctly
Pirouette placement of supporting and working foot
Ron de jambe passing through 1st position
Degage derrierre = pointing the foot behind the dancer

Many other foundations
All sounding too technical? Exactly! Dance is very technical and our sock is especially designed to help the dancer navigate these meanings to improve their dancing in a simple way especially designed to be understood by children.
